I'M BACK!!!!!

So i know I've been AWOL for wayyyyyyy too long! I'm back to blogging about what I love doing the most and I promise my posts will be regular from now on.

I promised to give my blog readers expert makeup advice and I'm gonna dive right into that. I'll start with the fundamental of a good makeup application: the face. The face is the canvass for your makeup and it can make or mar ur makeup application. I always advocate to my clients to always keep d face in tip top shape. Yes! A good foundation and concealer can work wonders by hiding flaws; but having a fresh and almost blemish-free face is top priority for me. For the purpose of this post, I'll focus more on ladies with combination to oily skin types because at least 90% of women in the tropical region have this skin type; plus this skin type is prone to blemishes and acne breakouts.

Here a few tips for having and maintaining a blemish-free skin:
  • wash your face twice daily with a mild face wash  or a mild soap.
  • cleanse your face daily with a cleanser specifically for your skin type.the cleanser could be soap, liquid(astringent), gel, foam or milk.this helps to get rid of excess oil which leads to the appearance of black heads and pimples.
  • exfoliate 2-3 times a week to get rid of dead skin.our body continuously sheds old skin and regenerates a new one.
  • use a moisturizer after each cleansing routine to seal in moisture
  • look out for active ingredients like salicyclic acid and retinol in ur acne treatments.also, stay away from astringents containing alcohol because they tend to dry up and irritate the face.
The number 1 makeup no-nos women make is sleeping with makeup! Please ladies, your skin needs to be unclogged of all that dirt before you go to bed so it can breathe all night.

It is important that you stick to your cleansing routine.also, it will take a little while before u start seeing results so dont be too much in a haste.however,if you develop allergies or skin reactions to a particular product, discontinue its use and see a deramtologist for a professional assessment.

Hope I've been able to be oh help a little bit. Feel free to drop comments on any questions you might have. Looking forward to hearing from you guys soon! XOXO
